An RMS credit buys one Teltonika device 30 days of RMS Management. Credits sit in your RMS company's pool until you assign them, so a device only uses one while it is under management. RMS, Teltonika's Remote Management System, is an IoT platform for remote access to and management of connected Teltonika Networks devices and third party devices. Using it on a device after the trial is paid for with credits or packages.
One credit gives one device 30 days of RMS Management. That is the whole rule. A credit is not tied to a device until you assign it, and once assigned it covers that one device for the next 30 days. In plain speech, 12 credits keeps one device managed for a year.
Credits are pay as you go: you buy them and assign them to devices as you need to, so a device only uses a credit while it is under management.
Every new Teltonika device comes with a free RMS Management trial of 30 days. Credits become relevant when the free period ends and you want the device to stay under management. A device whose management lapses shows as offline in RMS until a credit or package is assigned; our guide How to use RMS credits covers the Service and Auto Extend settings that decide this.
Teltonika also sells RMS Management packages, prepaid blocks of time for one device, with terms of 3, 5 or 10 years, or 6 or 12 months. A package is prepaid time on one device. Credits are a pool for the company: you decide, device by device and month by month, where they go.
Buying 6 or 12 monthly credits for one device typically costs more than the matching package. So the choice is mostly about flexibility against price: credits suit fleets that change, short projects and trials; packages suit devices that will sit under management for years. We sell standard RMS credits only for now, and RMS management packages are coming soon.
Management and remote access are metered differently. RMS Connect and RMS VPN draw on company data, a shared pool for the company, not on management time. Teltonika gives every company on RMS the first 5 GB of data free. Beyond that, data comes from a 150 GB connection data pack assigned to one device for 10 years, or from RMS credits converted into company data inside RMS at 2 GB per credit. A credit assigned to a device keeps it under management; the same credit converted to data feeds Connect and VPN sessions instead. Our guide How RMS VPN credits work goes through it.
Each company on RMS gets 100,000 free API requests per 30 day period. It is separate from management credits.
Credits are sold as a code. A code can be activated by any RMS company, not only the company that bought it. Once activated, the credits sit in that company's pool until assigned to devices.
